WHAT IS “FAITHFUL STEWARD” INVESTING?
“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4: 2 NKJV)
It begins with an acknowledgement that life comes from GOD and all we have in material possessions belongs to him.
We are administrators of what is his that he has entrusted to us.
As Christians, we honor GOD with the totality of our lives, including financial and investment considerations.
The criteria by which we determine the proper use of his material blessings are found in the Bible, specifically in the person and ministry of Jesus.
Jesus vocation is “to save his people from their sins”. This vocation is expressed in his teaching and ministry. It is exemplified by his sacrificial commitment to justice, mercy, compassion and protection.
The full recipients of his ministry are all persons who acknowledge their need of him for deliverance from the consequence of their sin against GOD.
All persons who are delivered from sin, by acceptance of him as Lord, adopt his vocation as their own.
Faithful Steward Investing uses resources to identify companies whose products and services are complimentary to the teaching and ministry of Jesus. Investments are made in those companies. It also identifies companies whose business income and expenditures are contrary to Christian faith and avoids investment in them.
As good stewards we seek to use his financial resources to honor and worship him.
